Needless to say, such a URL is difficult to remember and looks very unprofessional. With the simple, lightning-quick redirection of NiceURL, someone wishing to visit the above example would be able to enter http://run.to/user (where "user" would be anyword they like, something that best describes their site) and be taken instantly to the original site. The old URL will still work, the host and files will all be the same still-- it will just be much cleaner and eaiser to get there.
This is not your run-of-the-mill script. This script uses MySQL databases for reliability and runs as high speed perl code. Setup is as simple as we could make it considering the functions of this program. However a decent knowledge of apache webservers and CGI installation is recommended. we do have people who can install it for you if need be.
